Health & Safety
The staff of Christ Church Day School is dedicated to providing a healthy and safe environment for your child. The staff receives flu shots and first aid, CPR, AED, epi-pen, and sexual abuse prevention training.
SC DHEC Certificates of Immunization are required.
We want to promote a healthy environment in our school; therefore, we ask that you keep your child home when you observe the following:
Please immediately notify Christ Church Day School if your child is diagnosed with a contagious illness such as strep or COVID-19. If your child is diagnosed with Fifth’s Disease, notify the school. A pregnant woman’s unborn baby can be at risk if exposed to this disease. She will need to contact her physician for possible testing. Without naming the infected child, the Day School will send out a notification to all families in the class.
Please immediately notify Christ Church Day School if your child contracts the virus, molluscum contagiosum. Your child may only attend if the affected area on the skin is completely covered.
If your child shows signs of illness or infectious disease during the school day, the parents are notified and requested to take the child home. Please remember that medications cannot be administered at school without a signed Doctor’s Order Form. If your child misses two days or more, please contact your child’s teacher.
